About Me

I’m John Tetzlaff — a graphic designer, artist, and builder with over a decade of experience turning ideas into bold, tangible work. My background spans both digital and physical design, including large-scale wall wraps, environmental graphics, apparel collections, posters, motion graphics, and custom motorcycle graphics and wraps. Every project I take on is driven by precision, creativity, and real-world execution.

My path into design started with enamel hat pins. What began as a small creative hustle grew into a nationally recognized brand, with well over 100 original designs and tens of thousands of pins and accessories produced, sold, and shipped worldwide. That hands-on experience—designing, manufacturing overseas, marketing through social media, and selling directly to customers—shaped how I approach design today: strong creative vision backed by practical, production-ready thinking.

I hold an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from Front Range Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design and Media from Southern New Hampshire University. Combining formal education with real-world production experience allows me to confidently navigate both the creative and business sides of design.

Outside of sales and management positions I have held, I’ve worked in fast-paced print shops, corporate creative departments, and freelance environments, collaborating with global brands, large venues, and independent businesses alike. My work includes environmental branding, large-format graphics, apparel and merchandise design, motion graphics for events, and promotional materials built to perform in real-world settings.

I specialize in vector art, logo design, branding systems, and immersive environmental graphics. My process is rooted in storytelling and function—creating work that not only looks strong, but installs cleanly, communicates clearly, and holds up over time.

Outside the studio, I’m deeply involved in the motorcycle community, building and customizing bikes that blend mechanical performance with visual identity. That hands-on work keeps my design grounded in function and reinforces my belief that the best design lives at the intersection of form and purpose.

Design, for me, isn’t just a job—it’s how I approach problem-solving, storytelling, and creation. Every project is an opportunity to build something meaningful, impactful, and lasting.
